“NCT is a hidden gem packed with great talent, food & fun for all ages”

I took my 8 yr. old granddaughter to see the play, "Annie" ~ she's still talking about it ! Although this former barn has been refurbished to accommodate a variety of entertainment, there were no bad seats! Nestled in the woods, there's plenty of signage and parking. What really stood out was the talent -- it was top-notch, and the buffet-style food was great, too! It's the perfect place for celebrations of any kind....we'll definitely be back!

“Great Dinner Theater!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 May 2011

I've been to several of NCT's musicals in the past few years and I've really enjoyed them all.NCT has a great buffet of fresh salad and always has appetizing main dishes that include a small variety of chicken, beef and seafood (they always have peel-n-eat shrimp!) and a carving station. Their dessert selection is filled with a variety of delicious pies and cakes, but they go quickly, so grab your choice early.
Water, coffee and ice tea are free, sodas and alcoholic drinks are provided for a fee and they usually also have nightly drink specials (mojitos, etc) that are designed according to the theme of that night's show. Long lines tend to form quickly at the buffet, but you can avoid them by arriving earlier, they allow 1.5 hours to eat before the show.
Waiters and waitresses are very friendly and accommodating and are also members of the cast.
NCT is in an old converted barn, so the atmosphere is intimate, and there really is no bad seat. Although you are assigned to a certain table (season pass holders get priority seating), I recommend you arrive a bit early to get a seat that faces the stage so you don't have to turn your seat around during the show.
Tips:
I personally like to save a dessert to eat during intermission, they also provide a yummy brownie dessert for a fee during that time too.
If you arrive early and finish eating before the show starts and the weather is good, take a walk in the area surrounding the theater. There's a small park with swings next to the theater and looking at the local houses is always an enjoyable way to walk off the buffet!

“Great live musical theater!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 April 2011

Have seen many shows here and "The Full Monty" had me laughing out loud. "Cats" was truly on par with the Broadway version I saw years ago. This treasure in Delaware is THE place to enjoy top notch professional shows at a fraction of the big city price.

“A fun and unusual evening”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 March 2011

We saw the Murder by Disco show last night and had a great time. Food was surprisingly good, and the show was entertaining. We plan to go back for one of the main shows--my sister saw Cats last week and said it was excellent.

“Great little playhouse. In a barn...”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 August 2010

Great little playhouse. In a barn converted to a theater. Tickets are only $50/person, parking is free, and dinner is included as well as dessert. Except water and coffee all other drinks are extra. My wife and I saw 2 shows here this year and really enjoyed them. The theater is rather intimate and the actors serve the meal. You'll typically sit at a table with 1 or 2 other couples. Seems to attract an older crowd which makes for fun dinner conversations if you enjoy drawing out people about their lives. Not as great if you want an intimate date with your spouse. Definitely worth going, especially if you live nearby like us.
