“Georgia House in Selbyville is a must do”
Reviewed 5 December 2011

Ribs were excellent,, Aunt Vickie's meat loaf was seared on a grill which is unusual but interesting Side dishes were plenty to chose from. Good Value and portions for the money. Family friendly for sure.

“Crab Cake...nuf said”
Reviewed 13 September 2011

The Best crab cake I've had on a brief trip through Maryland and southern Delaware. High quality jumbo lump meat perfectly seasoned and prepared. We also enjoyed their bruschetta, though served in a rather atypical fashion. (A warm sliced loaf of bread accompanied by a cup filled with; wonderful fresh tomato, basil, balsalmic vinegar, and topped with fresh shavings of parmesan.) The peach tea and unsweetened iced tea were both fresh, and our glasses were kept full. The service all round was ideal; attentive and there when we needed them but otherwise invisible.

Though not a complaint, the one weakness of the restaurant is the decor. They've done an acceptable job of converting an old service station/garage into a quaint neighborhood restaurant. But I've been to the places that take form over substance, I'll take a crab cake seated by the garage door.

“Golden Corral has better food and service than this over priced excuse for a restaurant”
Reviewed 25 July 2011

Our family rented the Laurel, Delaware facility for an 80th birthday celebration for my Grandmother. Total cost for my part (two adults, one six year old, one five year old, one 11 month old) was $75.

Lets start with the horrible service. The wait staff, with the exception of one, appeared to be high school kids with summer jobs. Despite having a head count well in advance there were not enough tables/chairs, the buffet style food service ran short on plates THREE times resulting in trips to the kitchen to track down additional.

The cream of crab soup would have been tolerable if hot which it wasn't.

The cheese display was grossly disproportionate to the fruit display.

They ran out of crackers and replaced them with prepacked saltines.

The Cesar Salad looked old, the lettuce was soggy with dressing, tomatoes were nearly non-existent.

The Asparagus and Green beans were poorly prepared and in my opinion not edible, certainly not fresh.

The Mashed potatoes were ok. The sweet potatoes were the only excellent dish.

They served Mac N Cheese on an adult-only buffet?

The Chicken was extremely dry, the "prime rib" was horrible, full of gristle. I question if it was prime rib or some lesser cut as I've never had rib prepared so horribly. Besides the cut it was horribly well done and sliced like roast beef -paper thin.

The shrimp/rice dish was mediocre at best.

Overall, the service was terrible, the food was terrible and I'd give them a 1 on a scale of 1-10.

I have had better food and service at Golden Corral for a fraction of the price.
