“Threshings.......home from home.”
Reviewed 8 May 2016 for a stay in February 2016

We had a long stay at Threshings whilst our house was rescued from a flood. The cottage is lovely, spacious and well equipped. We were there for about 12 weeks and soon settled in to the spacious accommodation, as we were there in winter the wood burning stove soon got fired up and we were warm as toast, central heating backed us up if needed. The cottage opens up the fantastic views and has loads of space for the kids. The farm has a working stables and horses would trot past most days. We were there during lambing and our friends came up and had a great day with their young daughter to look at the lambs, horses and cows, a real treat. Cath (the owner) is very helpful and will get anything sorted for you quickly. If you're looking for a rural cottage with the real "countryside" feel, look no further. But it does get booked up quickly and I can see why, we had other visitors from Australia and some Canadians were coming the week we left so it gets all sorts.
I would recommend to anyone and friends/family who came to visit loved the cottage. Word of warning, if Jess (the dog) badgers you to throw a stick you'll have a friend for life !

The holiday rental is set in a lovely location, very rural, but local amenities a short car journey away. No One was there to meet us when we arrived even though we were told we could check in from 11am. After spending time walking round the farm we actually found someone who could let us in. They said that the cleaners had not been in yet but we could make ourselves comfortable. The cleaners arrived later in the afternoon... No welcome pack and the standard of cleaning was not high. Other than this the holiday rental could be fabulous.

They asked if they could come early I said yes, but that the cleaners would not be finished, as some one was leaving that morning, and we did not mind if they did not mind. But they did mind.

Me & my family stayed for over a week at the Threshing cottage with two little girls. It was a great little hideaway with everything equipped at the cottage which was a great pecae of mind.
Definately loved the cottage and can not recommend it highly enough, hoping to return next year with a bigger party and for longer so will be back. Also my little girls enjoyed the horse riding and loved the dogs at the farm.
