Inventive, seasonal cuisine in an intimate setting located just outside of downtown Sandy Hook - outdoor dining available, full bar, fabulous desserts.

Wonderful tasty and original food. So many options that it's hard to choose what to order. Not a huge menu but just so many good looking dishes. Gets really busy on Friday and Saturdays and is closed Sundays. Great wines.

You can call ahead and get on the wait list but they don't take reservations. You give them your mobile number and they send you a text to let you know where you are on the wait list. Neat. We told them we were 10 minutes out and when we got there, we were seated right away.

Our bread and salads came quickly. But dinner took a very long time. Unfortunately, chicken was dry, and so was the braised beef ribs. Pizza and pasta were good though.

We sat in the restaurant part by the bar. It was very noisy so if you are looking for a quiet evening out, ask to be seated in the other party of the restaurant...maybe that is less noisy.

We arrived at a perfect time - before the evening crowd. But the waitress was new and did not have the menu answers. However, my friend and I chose simple Pasta meals: Spaghetti with meatballs and Ravioli stuffed. Nothing elaborate. Simple. The dip & crackers were welcome because it was a long wait for the meal. The Ravioli arrived - cold, cold, cold. We requested it to be reheated. The meatballs were delicious and the amount generous. But the time was too long for the wait and even to receive the check.

My favorite restaurant in Connecticut...triple WOW, everything tastes like home gourmet cooking at it's best, service is friendly and professional, charming open style facility that lets you view the kitchen... you just gotta try the Belgiun Ale
