The Hideaway is a small restaurant with a large, diverse menu to please anyone. Similar to restaurants in neighboring towns such as The Little Pub. The parking lot is not paved, and it is oddly shaped - enter slowly to prevent fender benders. Inside is a large bar area near the entrance and a rustic restaurant section (e.g stone/wood and fireplace) with seating that is a bit crowded. Diners and see into the bar area to view 3 large flat screen TVs. The menu includes a large selection of appetizers, salads, sandwiches, burgers, and hot entrees. The food is well prepared and the portions are good size. Servers are eager to please. Children are welcome. A great place for an upscale lunch or an inexpensive dinner.

Great pub fare at reasonable prices in a pleasant atmosphere. The menu choices are imaginative with a twist to basic comfort food. Friends had the lamb burgers and raved about them. I had the 'bilboa" sliced-rib eye sandwich with a dip. Everything was well prepared and very tasty. Happy hour drinks were an added bonus. Nothing fancy here, just very tasty pun fare that's a couple of steps beyond just bar food. Simply great value and I would return in a heart beat.

We've probably been to almost every restaurant in Ridgefield and no doubt some are fancier and many also have great food, but it never ceases to amaze me how good the food is at The Hideaway. The burgers, tuna burger, reuben, shepherd's pie, wings, salads, etc -- everything is consistently excellent. That's why the restaurant is always crowded because the food really is that good. Seating can be a little snug but they do their best to accommodate everyone. The place is casual, the prices are fair (for Ridgefield) and the food is exceptional.

Was visiting the Ridgefield, CT with family and was looking for a casual, good place for lunch. Googled "restaurants in Ridgefield" and "The Hideaway Kitchen & Bar" was one that came up. Checked out the menu and it looked extensive, and reasonably priced. So, this is where we ended up.

What a great find! Loved that the menu included an extensive list of salads, Southwest items, burgers, sandwiches and meals. There were so many great choices on the menu that it was difficult to decide what to have.

My sister and I both had the Ahi tuna burger. It was a substantial portion of sashimi grade tuna steak (rare, of course), with Asian pepper slaw, ponsu citrus glaze, and wasabi mayo on a potato roll. All sandwiches come with a choice of fries, slaw, or salad (great that there is this option).
This was an outstanding choice and I would order this burger again, and again and again. It was top rate!

My husband had the chicken enchilada. A substantial portion, and it came with some delicious black beans (yes, I had to steal a bite) and rice. He gave this dish a big thumbs up!

Another in our party had the "Prickle" burger, which had smoked Gouda, bacon, B&B pickle chips, mustard aioli all on a NY baked pretzel roll. Well, his plate was clean at the end of our meal (guess he really enjoyed it).

The atmosphere here is cozy and casual. The is a very nice stone fire place, and since it was a chilly winter's day, a fire was going which added to the atmosphere.

The servers were helpful and very friendly.

This restaurant is also handicap / wheelchair accessible.

Can't wait to go back! This is a great find!
