Passing through a 3rd time for a respite meal here warrants 3-peat 5 stars!!! Consistently Good, this hole in the wall diner in the middle of no where, rural CT, expanded menu choices. Thanks to a friend's recommendation of trio taco special, I highly recommend the top of the grill cooked fish tacos with their tangy sauce, healthier than deep flash fried. Produce was clean and fresh as their food handling and friendly service. Some of us preferred the fried fish and soft shell, our local friend opts for grilled fish in the crispy light golden crunchy taco. DELICIOUS among the best tasting CHILI--prepared from scratch on site. The only criticism is their sit down accommodations is limited inside. Outdoor picnic tables with umbrellas are available.

We happened upon Rt. 12 Tacos this evening on our way to a classic car show in the area. With the car windows down, we could actually smell the goodness from the road. We got a variety of hard & soft tacos(3 for $5) with pulled pork (my favorite), ground beef, steak & fish (husband's favorite) & a side of guacamole. You could taste the homemade ingredients & they are generous with the fillings. We live over the line in RI but will be back because this little gem is really worth the ride!

The little place puts up some decent meals at affordable prices. The portions tend to be good size, and the main dishes are well made. The sides, Santa Fe rice, refried beens, and black beens were kinda blan.

We are a family of three and we had a good meal for under $30 total!

Seating is limited inside, it's really more of a walk in taco stand then a restaurant. There's seating outside, but it is of course weather depending. There's also a great deal of road noise if you do eat there.

All in all, I'd eat there again if passing through. I would have given this place a 4 but the blan rice I paid extra for and didn't eat kinda sunk that idea.

Two more visits involved lunch, and evening meal. It has been several weeks since my first visit. First time and repeat customer-colleagues and I were in the mood for fine quality fresh, light, made to order substantial food. We were again provided tasty quality products, large portions enough to swap and share; no tacos this time. Location ends up being convenient; time permitting we would like to connect with friends in neighboring town en route. Dr. Kate, Dr. Rob, Dr. Dennis, Mr. And Mrs. Hennessey, Marty, John, Joe. A+

Expected a fast (assembly belt processed) food experience. This tiny unassuming place is an "order to serve" service; visibly very fresh and clean on site prepared products. The taco beef is evidently homemade as is the guacamole, picodigallo, salsa sides. Their corn gluten free chips are served nicely warmed. We were fortunate to have our fried prepared in good oil! In our extensive travels we shy away from strained, old, recycled oil. Ah Grace, indeed....! My "Peaceful Place" home in process....!
We highly recommend this tasty and unusual "trendy home-made" stop. Unfortunately, the sit down is restricted to two or three small tables should you arrive in weather too messy for outdoor picnic tables. Nothing on their menu or signs indicate catering or large order services for their locals. Though cheap and affordable in pricing, and humble in ambiance, we classify the quality for this basic tex-mex as "fine casual dining".
