I excitedly drove all the way to its obscure location in Tagaytay, navigating through roads that were too narrow even for a residential area. Sadly, it was not worth the trip. When I got there, there was a brownout and they had no emergency lights nor rechargeable fans. Good thing an entire wall of the dining area was made of screen so it was not too hot. The staff was polite but they played music that was a bit too loud and, in my opinion, inappropriate for the restaurant's European theme (mostly sappy novelty Filipino songs). I ordered French Onion soup which was too salty, and the baked salmon which was disappointingly overcooked and floating in liquid that was more like broth than sauce. If they want to lure people to such an inconvenient location, they really should work on their food quality.

our first visit after almost 2 years. the garden and surroundings a just wonderful. the air is cool and fresh. the interior of the restaurant is very austrian. we ordered osso buco, veal-schnitzel, chicken-schnitzel and braten. but the best was the backed cheese cake. really austrian/german style. the service was outstanding and attentive. will definetliy go there again.

We heard about this place from a friend and it shows up in Waze. Was easy to find and you get to see some hilly back roads of Silang, near Tagaytay. The place is awesome... we love the restaurant set up, the ambiance and the garden is lovely. Worth a stroll while waiting for your food. We had breakfast this time and ordered the Croque Madame and the Hestia Breakfast of sausage. The Croque was ok, home made stuff and the cheese used seemed to be goat cheese so your either love it or hate it. I wonder if you can choose a different cheese? We’ll ask next time. The sausage breakfast was good. 2 large sausages, egg and rice. Maybe you can exchange the rice with bread?
A lovely place to hang around, enjoy the cool (even without aircon) dining area and a thick but nicely maintained outdoor area. Worth more visits either for date, with family or with friends.

DISCLAIMER: this is an honest review based on our dining experience. not meant to offend or defamate the establishment and hopefully take it as constructive criticism.

Upon arriving to the place it was cozy and all despite of the restaurant's remote location. Loved the luscious greens and facade.

The restau's interior is indeed instagrammable as you can call it and one can't help not to take shots of the place. The frontliners were corteous, able to make recommendations and upsell which is a huge point especially for their first time visitors.

Here's where it gets real.

My husband asked if they're serving fresh meat with their main course since he's very particular with it. The waiter said they do serve fresh but buckled and said they do their groceries every week. That being said, the expectation is now being questioned.

We ordered their mushroom soup, caesar salad, reale pizza and tried their Chef's menu of the month the Bavarian meat loaf and Corned Beef.

The mushroom soup tasted like it was a regular canned mushroom soup. thought I was just hungry and totally didn't bothered at all since it's just for appetizer. Their Caesar salad is good. I love the salad dressing.

Then we have next is the Reale pizza. You can tell that the veggies on it is fresh because it's juicy. The dough was too thin and felt like I was eating pizza on a feta bread not a pizza dough and the crust was quite burnt. That's when the expectation gradually receded. We moved on to the main course which is the bavarian meat loaf and corned beef.

My hubby was expecting that he'll get is a nice chunk of meat loaf but was served to him a "diced meat". The description on the menu was entirely different in reality. And what I got was sliced beef meat not "corned beef" as described.

One thing that also we would like to point out is the place is swarming with mosquitoes. They placed mosquito nets as walls but I do hope that they also put some sort of mosquito catchers. Hubby had a hard time dining not only because the food blew the expectation but also got pestered by mosquitoes the whole time we're there. it's not safe since it's rainy season and some of the child guests might get bitten by mosquitoes.

People don't mind to pay an expensive price for food as long as you serve them a good one that will exceed their expectation and they'll get the value of they paid for. It felt like we paid for a high price and we're served with canned goods.

Hopefully the management will do something on their menu. We're not asking for a compensation or anything but just sharing our experience.

Not the a first timer here but everytime we visited Hestia, the same excitement trembling on our car seats.
So, me and my husband invited our newly wed-friends to see this lovely rustic and tasty food place all the way from the wakepark Laguna.
The food was really good and worth your time waiting.
We really enjoyed the whole time around.
Big thanks for the customer and kitchen service.
