My wife and I visited Mystic for our anniversary and decided to stop by Red56 for a late lunch.
This was our first meal in the New England states and high fairly high expectations.
We started off with appetizers. My wife had the clam chowder and I had the lobster Mac and cheese.
My wife said the chowder was good, not great. My lobster Mac and cheese was tasty with large pieces of lobster mixed with the spiral noodles.
For our entrees, she chose the lobster carbonara and I chose the fish and chips.
She said the carbonara had very little flavor.
The fish was good and the fresh cut fries were also very tasty.
The main drawback to our visit was the price. I don’t think it was worth $99. For 2 appetizers, 2 entrees and 2 waters.
