We went down a side street to stop in a few shops. My husband wandered and saw an R36 sign for food and drinks. We walked toward the run down mariner buildings, through a dirt parking lot, went around the potholes and puddles, and finally turned the corner to our surprise of Red 36. There is free parking in front of the restaurant if we had only known.
Plenty of seating inside, full bar, doors open to the outside, bar outside along with tables and umbrellas, a large patio couch to seat at least a dozen. Great attentive wait staff. No one just standing around; serving, sweeping, wiping down.
Comfortable, resort casual atmosphere and attire. Wait staff have coordinating shirts but all wear jeans.
The menu is clearly a resort class selection. Lobster corn fritters were large, hot, and came with three dipping sauces. The three chicken sliders were crisp fried tenders with coleslaw on soft slider rolls.
Look at the prices before you decide to stay. $8-10 for a glass of wine, appetizers $12-15.
Beautiful setting, time to sit and enjoy, good quality drinks and food. Make this a destination.
