“Lovely cottage and location”

We stayed at the cottage 3 nights last week(May 12,13,14 2015) The cottage has every amenity you could want. It was clean and tidy and very cozy.

Two bathrooms was a major plus and the water pressure in the showers was amazing.

The Bell Inn, just 50 yards over the square, was another major plus. We ate there 3 times and the food was really excellent.

I can highly recommend this rental.

“Small but cosy cottage”
Reviewed 6 May 2015 for a stay in May 2015

Well thought out cottage, apart from lack of hanging space in the 2nd bedroom. Lovely setting, near to the church, shop and pub, very quiet and peaceful.
Nice to find cleaning materials and welcome pack.
We expected to have Satelite TV but it was Freeview only, but it didn't matter as we were only staying for 2 nights.
Very comfortable beds, although kingsize bed very high !
We enjoyed our stay and hpe to return for longer one day

“A hidden gem”
Reviewed 15 April 2015 for a stay in April 2015

We had a lovely few days in the glorious sunshine, we luckily picked the best part of the Easter holidays, the hottest part.
On arrival the cottage was spotless with fresh bread and milk left for us. Every detail had been thought of even cutlery for the children.
The village itself was very pretty and quiet, very relaxing. The cottage perfectly placed in the village square a stones throw from the local pub.
We came across a park behind the village hall which was a godsend with 3 small children, the bonus was when the fish and chip van turned up in the car park at 5pm.
We visited both Barnstaple and Westward Ho which were both about 20 minutes away.
All in all a short but enjoyable stay. I would highly recommend to anyone.

“Superb Cottage and Village”
Reviewed 10 April 2015 for a stay in April 2015

We stayed over the Easter weekend in April of 2015, the cottage was better than we could have expected. Brilliantly finished and well stocked with utensils, equipment e.c.t. Can quite easily sleep four and could squeeze six with blow up beds e.c.t.
The village is lovely, we took a picnic up to he top back of the Church and looked over the village in the sun, strongly advisable! The local pub shows the sport, serves lovely good value food and has a cracking beer garden area.
The village is perfectly situated to go and visit the larger towns and attractions in the Devon area, nothing more than a 40 minute drive away.
We would highly recommend the cottage and are looking forward to going back.

“Comfortable and relaxing cottage; a jewel in a beautiful part of North Devon”
Reviewed 7 April 2015 for a stay in March 2015

This is a special way to spend a week or so relaxing in comfort in North Devon and easily accessible to so many other lovely locations. The cottage is truly charming, immaculately presented and very well maintained with all creature comforts catered for. Being in the centre of Chittlehampton, it is close to the impressive church, a small general stores and importantly, the highly rated local pub. Whether you like walking or visiting the coast or nearby towns, this will satisfy your holiday needs. This has to be a five star rating and we will certainly be back.
