We tried on spec to have lunch here on a Friday but it was impossible. Tightly packed tables all full including at least 3 people on PCs using the place as an office. Upstairs full too so we gave up but came back later for a cuppa and cake. Still almost full. Still same 3 people on computers some 2 hours after we first visited. Really is this on? Another table of 4 playing cards. It’s more like a Ripley community centre! From a notice on a table it seems you can reserve tables but all rather chaotic.
We liked the choice of coffees and lemon and poppy seed cake. The big pot of tea and gluten free brownie also nice but the chocolate cake dry and pretty stale.
Overall ok but a bit of a bun fight!
