I have stayed here once before, but this time was in the setting of a conference. I was impressed at the cleanliness and friendliness of the hotel. Arrangements made during the conference and food offered was nice as well. Had lunch one day in the bar area which was just ok. Only compliant which is a major problem is how thin the walls are. I was able to hear my neighbors entire phone conversation and then was woken up by his snoring every night. Not very restful at all.

Great hotel! I made a reservation for a regular king bed room and as a platinum member of Marriott Rewards, I was upgraded to the concierge floor. Very clean and bright room. The pool was a very good size and the jacuzzi was a good size as well. Now if only Starbucks would stay open later, I would have given the hotel five stars.

BTW, cookies were great when you check in. The staff is very friendly as well!

Family went to Mystic for spring break with another family. We had 8 children and 4 adults in our group. The hotel is very nice. Bath and rooms were spacious enough, but we did have 4 rooms. There was a mistake in our booking however. We reserved 2 sets of connecting rooms on the concierge level through the hotel directly. When we got there, there was no availability on the concierge level even though our reservation specificially stated "concierge level, top floor." The staff was very courteous and did give us the concierge benefits without the cost. Glad we didn't pay for it because it was not worth it at all. The continental breakfast had one strip of bacon and the snacks at night were only half of a cheesecake. We practically had to beg for more hot chocolate because there was only 2 envelopes out. Most people staying are there for business, so when all 12 of us were in two connecting rooms watching movies, there were complaints of noise. The manager was very understanding and offered her help to quiet down the children. Sorry! The kids did enjoy the pool. We went to the Octagon Steak Restaurant on premises. I ordered white wine and received a bug with it. They did take it away and replaced it with a fresh glass, but I felt that they should have given it to me for free. We did have 12 people eating and had a heafty bill in what was an almost empty restaurant. Aside from that and the fact that housekeeping didn't remove the used washclothes from the shower (makes you wonder about how they are cleaning), we really did have a great time. I would definately recommend this hotel and would go back, without the 8 kids though! (You're welcome!)

Room Tip: Choose rooms at front of hotel to avoid I-95 traffice noise, don't waste extra money on concierg...

100% professional hotel service as expected - great to have a starbucks in the hotel.
Food can improve, ordered a ceasar salad and I tasted only vinigar. Same for professional buffets, if you are there for several days, it's always the same comming back.

What you expect - great service, beautiful facility. Unfortunately, it's in the middle of nowhere. No view or anything. Drive to all attractions. Probably not the best bet for a family on vacay, but did not see any other offerings nearer to Mystic.
