Stayed one night over Labor Day weekend after spending the afternoon at a friend's barbecue while waiting to tube the Farmington River the next day.
Upon entering mid evening the lobby was a cacophony of sound and total chaos with what appeared to be a mixture of family reunion folks and a teen hockey team. Take out boxes were everywhere, people were talking at the top of their lungs and some kids were literally running around on the furniture and streaking water along the hall from the indoor pool area. The employee at the desk seemed both unfazed and did not so much as react to our comment regarding the chaos.
The noise carried on well past 1AM as some of these folks were in the outside seating area which is a lovely spot BTW. We were on the top/third floor in a corner room and heard their voices carrying. In the morning the foyer had a similar chaotic feel when we went for breakfast at 9:45 which was pretty well picked through.
The room was a generous size and had everything you could need including large shower gel, shampoo & lotion. Only issue for us was no exhaust in the bath so the mirror fogs over and the bed was softer than we like.
This place has a nice curb appeal and a lot of potential if the front desk personnel would be more assertive in not allowing some guests to take over the common areas and run wild detracting from the experience of others.
