“Simply delightful”
Reviewed 30 October 2014 for a stay in October 2014

I stayed at the Owl House for a long weekend in October with my partner...what a great place! Even better in real life than it looks in the photos, this is a peaceful, warm and very comfortable retreat.

The owners seem to have thought of everything - the layout, decor, furniture and equipment are all excellent and it is such a nice, thoughtful touch to have the essentials (milk, butter, bread etc.) already provided upon arrival.

I can't really find fault with this place and I hope to visit again very soon!

“A snug retreat”
Reviewed 21 September 2014 for a stay in August 2014

Owl House is tucked away, off the beaten track, a perfect base to explore The Lizard.
The converted stable cottage is perfect for a couple wanting a relaxing break away from it all. Very snug, complete with woodburner, Owl House is comfortably furnished with clear modern design influences. The bedroom is unusually spacious for a cottage. The welcome was warm. Everything we wanted.

This is the third time we have visited this holiday let and it certainly won't be the last. It's miles from anywhere, peaceful, all you can hear is birds (and cows). Really comfortable, wonderful welcome tray and lovely owners. This is a really great place to get away from the daily rush and really relax.

“Owl Cottage is a real gem: Cosy, comfortable, modern, spacious; in fact, everything you could wish for, and more!”
Reviewed 24 August 2014 for a stay in August 2014

Had a great week staying in the Owl House, which was really cosy, comfortable and spacious. We arrived after a 8.5 hour drive from Birmingham and was met with a lovely welcome pack which consisted of bread, milk, butter and plenty of other goodies, which kept us going. We were not expecting to have been left so much. There was also a free supply of logs to use on the woodburner which came in handy, especially as it was starting to get slightly chilly in the evening. There were also some fresh flowers in the cottage, which was a nice touch and made it seem homely for us. The bedroom was really spacious and the bed was really comfortable - at least 6ft wide. The cottage was ideally located between Falmouth and Gweek, and there was a really short drive to the village of Constantine which had a good stocked Spar shop and a pub which served food. The highlight for us had to be our visit to the Lizard point and the coastal walk we took to Kynance Cove, although we didn't quite get to the cove, but walked back to the point where there is a really nice cafe. Also we visited Porthleven, Mullion Cove, Falmouth, Penzance and Truro. Also, I booked myself on a Ocra 2 hour boat trip from Falmouth harbour which was great fun. The weather was a bit mixed, but most of the time it stayed dry for us. It is highly recommended - a great base to stay to visit the surrounding area.

“restorative retreat”
Reviewed 17 August 2014 for a stay in August 2014

Owl House is a great little bolt hole in which to relax and restore. The house is nicely appointed with a 'welcome pack' awaiting you on arrival - we quickly felt at home. Jennie and Peter are just the right combination of present-but-not-hovering to ensure you have everything needed and then your on your own to explore this beautiful part of Cornwall - the awesome Lizard peninsula is a fifteen minute drive and there are stunning coastline walks - good gastro-pubs and restaurants within easy reach. All highly recommended.
