Overall a nice stay, but the spa area needs a makeover. With all of the recent expansion in Vail, the Sonnenalp feels old and outdated. The restaurants and employees are nice. The brunch at Ludwig's is great. We went for my wife's birthday and they gave us a complimentary bottle of wine and a free gift at the spa which was a nice touch.
The bed was hard, 2 lights in the room didn't work, the bathroom tile looks like something from the 80's. The tub wasn't jetted and placed in a corner which was all but impossible to use. There's no iPod connectivity.
Please update Sonnenalpers!!
