“Great Venua close to a Ski Lift”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 March 2012

Excellent location to take advantage of the outstanding skiing in Val - Skiing to from the Ski Locker room, where they made sure my boots were pre-warmed and my skis were within 10 feet of the ski lift - Skiing was fantastic, great snow, a little more sunshine would have helped, but a small price to pay for the fresh Vail Powder. Ok, the Cascade Resort, great room, wonderful view of the mountain, spotless, impressive customer service, excellent food, all the staff were great, no complaints. Well only one, keeps the lifts open for another hour in March and floodlight the slopes! Otherwise, if you ski you have found heaven!

Was there for first week in March- skiing was awesome-ski concierge was a treat-warmed boots to get into and then just a few feet from the private lift! I'm spoiled now could not stay anywhere else! Can;t wait to return with my kids- they'll flip.

I booked a 2 nite stay here for my bf's bday so we could maximize our Vail experience. Normally I don't pay anything for over $200/night but that's impossible in Vail. After days of research, I settled on Cascade b/c of its location (ski-in/ski-out), high reviews, and most importantly, it wasn't insanely over-priced.

We arrived around 1pm on Sat and we were afraid that we would have to hang around the resort until check-in time (4pm), but they let us check-in early and even upgraded us to creekside/mountain view room w/ balcony! And on top of that, apparently our package included free buffet breakfast for two in their fancy Atwater restaurant. Their delicious omelette bar gave me all the protein I needed to hit those moguls. I couldn't have asked for any more surprises.

Every employee in the resort from the bell boy, front desk, concierge, lift ticket office, restaurant, etc., gave EXCELLENT customer service. Even when my bf asked for a bandaid from the bell boy for a little finger cut, he ran to get one within seconds. All the workers seemed to be very happy and satisfied to work there, and performed everything with a smile.

The resort has tons of conveniences such as free gym/spa membership, Vail lift chair and ticket office, beautiful heated pool and hot tub, free shuttle to Lionshead and Vail Village that runs every 15 min, and complimentary lime/lemon infused water in the fireplace lodge (taste so delish after a long day on the slopes).  Thank you Cascade resort for giving me and my boyfriend an amazing unforgettable experience for his birthday wkend. I hope to be back next season.

We very much enjoyed our recent stay at the Vail Cascade. It is located about a mile away from Lionshead and 1.5 miles from Vail Village so it is a little quieter and situated in a nice natural setting. There is a very convenient free shuttle that comes about every 10-15 min so a car is not needed. Most of the resorts seem to have a free shuttle. One of the favorite parts of our stay was a walk along Gore Creek just behind the hotel. There is a path that takes you to both Lionshead and Vail Village with lots of scenic photo opportunities.

The room was clean and comfortable. No issues at all. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We got engaged and they upgraded our room. The ski concierge was a very nice feature. Store skis and boots there next to their own lift for free. You can ski back to the resort from the main mountain but not if you are a beginner as the "Simba" run is blue and somewhat steep in places. You'll have to shuttle back in that case which is only a short ride.

The breakfast buffet was delicious every morning. It's a bit pricy for big family at 24$ for adults but hey, it's Vail. The lounge has great munches and pizza in the evening. We did not try dinner in their restaurant but the menu looked good. There is also a little store/deli with everything you need.

The pool area was quite nice with a couple of fire pits and rockers. The pool itself was not quite warm enough for our liking but was nice. There was only one outdoor hot tub which remained crowded after ski time. There is an indoor one also
in the spa but we did not see it.

Overall we really enjoyed the hotel and would stay there again based on quality, convenience, and price.

Dear Dwhitake,
Comprehensive reviews like yours are so very appreciated! Many of our guests are pleasantly surprised to see how expansive our resort is and all the great amenities we offer, especially our location on Gore Creek. Many people don’t know that it’s actually rated as a gold medal stream so we would love to have you back this spring or summer for some fly fishing. It’s beautiful! Glad to hear that your stay was enjoyable and relaxing – we do hope you return again and ask that you let us know if you need anything to make your next visit even more memorable.

Thanks for posting your review!

Our room was amazing! We could walk out our patio door to the hot tub and pool. Not to mention the picturesque Colorado stream running right behind it all. The staff was super friendly, and the fireplace lounge was the place to hang out. An extremely prompt shuttle service got us all around. Oh, did I mention they have their own lift on to the mountain!!!
