Our room in the Snowmass Inn was very basic. It was clean, but VERY dated. We stayed there because we were stuck in Snowmass an extra night due to snow storm. We were happy to get the room, and very pleased that management let us out of the second night of our reservation, which, as they pointed out, is against their policy.

There were lots of outside noises and lots of noises from the next rooms. My sense is that this is where college kids and families traveling on the cheap (as we, ourselves, have done in the past) come to stay. No problems with that. But, you should know that before you book.

Thank you for your review. I am glad we were able to accommodate you during difficult travel conditions. We have noted your comments on the property being dated and are working with ownership. We hope to see you again in Snowmass next year!

We drove from Grand Lake , lots of road work going on and gps got confused while location the property .One need to get Mountain Chalet which is the next property for getting check - in registration . Rooms are pretty old , no air conditioners , some old racks - on a whole I find it very very old stuffs - stinking beds. For the cost I paid - I will not recommend

Came back to stay (been here before in 2013) knowing full well what to expect.
Let's be clear, this property is not for the faint of heart ;) Aspen-aspiring fur-wearing tourists. Could this place use a major renovation ? It surely does without any doubt. But as it is, for a fraction of the price you'd pay anywhere else in the area of these four wonderful mountains you get a decent fair sized room with two double beds with a small fridge and microwave oven. On top, the swimming pool and hot tub are yours to enjoy. Let alone that it is slope-side and the staff is as good as it gets - same as they were 3 years ago when we first visited, kudos - and literally only steps away from the Snowmass Mall. Daily room cleaning service is beyond reproach. Enjoyed every moment of our ski vacation, same as three years ago when we promised we'd be back. We'll be back again!

Room tip: top floor recommended, the foot steps sound of the neighbours above are noticeable

The Snowmass Inn is a real dump. It's saving grace is that it is nearly slopeside and it's cheap.

The inn is decades overdue for renovation. There is no hair dryer in the room. You store your skis in the room. The linoleum tiles in the bathroom floor have huge gaps. There is no daily maid service.

I wish I stayed elsewhere.

The plusses are the price was right since we just needed a one-night before our group came in the next day, the location right next to the Snowmass Mall was great, and the pickup at Aspen Airport and Customer Service from the shuttle driver and the front desk were great. The minuses is that it needs a serious update, paint especially in the bathroom which wasn't quite the cleanest, and then it would be a great inexpensive hotel in Snowmass!! It didn't even have a hair dryer - that would have been a cheap addition - I never take hair dryers any more but we were there just for one night. It was also very noisy. Next trip if I wanted less expensive location would probably stay at the adjoining Mountain Chalet. I do have to say the view from outside our room was amazing!! And the room was very large - it could be a great spot with some updates.

Room tip: Go for a top floor with the view on the mountain side.
