This is a nice and very affordable hotel, directly across from the town of Ridgway. It has mountain views. It is on the main highway, but come evening, there is very little road nose. It smelled so clean upon entry, and the rooms though not big, were spotless and very comfortable. Everything smelled wonderful. The Internet rocked! Nice indoor pool and hot tub too. Family dollar store next door, and walking distance to Ridgway. My bed was wonderful and so was that powerful water pressure of hot water to shower with in the morning. I will stay at this hotel again, what a great find!!

Room tip: Get an inward room for less road noise, but it does get pretty quiet at night.

During our recent trip to Ridgway Colorado we arrived a day early and had no accommodations...we stopped at Rodgway Lodge in hopes of finding a vacancy for one night (we had reservations in Montrose for the other 5 nights of our stay). They had a "possibility" and told us they would let us know around 6:30 that evening. We left our phone number and went about our way. We received the call stating they had a room...we offered to come back to secure the room and were told they would hold it without our credit card info. Wow! We stayed the one night and were told they had a suite come available for the duration of our stay (which was great because we really did not want to go to Montrose). Very warm atmosphere! The only negative is their breakfast. We will be coming back!

Unfortunately we ended up in the area, trying to visit Telluride, but their rooms were all sold out because they were hosting a concert that weekend. We drove back to Ridgway and felt lucky to get the last room they had! The staff was friendly and the room was clean (peeling paint in two spots in the bathroom) and the bed was good. Breakfast (included) was a little lacking the next morning - cold cereal, fruit cup and Danish - juice and coffee. Overall, it was comfortable.

Room tip: They do offer the AARP discount, if you ask....

We stayed July 1st -4th staff was great. The rooms was nice size and comfortable. Indoor pool was to cold for me, the hot tub was nice for a hotel, but I do prefer a private one. Other guests where rude and took over the tables by the pool even though personal items were there (not the hotels fault). Breakfast could be improved on, over all we did enjoy our stay.

Room tip: No elevator.

This is very decent motel. We got in late and left early. The room was nice and quiet, and the beds were comfortable. Given the availability of places in that part of Colorado, I would stay there again.

The check in clerk was really nice and told us the hot tub was still open if we wanted to use it even though it was after 10:00 pm.

Electrical outlets were just barely adequate, and they could use some dedicated charging stations for electronics. Wifi worked great. The rooms did not feel crowded at all. Plenty of hot water in the shower.

Breakfast was a disappointment. Couple kinds of cold cereal with milk, and no fresh fruit. I don't recall if my kids ate any of the fruit cups or not. I think there might have been bread and a toaster. If I stayed there again, I would definitely go for a hot breakfast somewhere else.
