Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Pueblo
Ranked #10 of 27 Hotels in Pueblo
Reviewed 13 July 2017

What a disappointment. Staff isn't the friendliest, Lobby is clean but I found stains on my bed sheets. The walls are paper-thin and I could even hear the tv on the next room at normal volume. Breakfast consists of dry waffles, muffins or toast. All together an underwhelming experience. Internet connection seems to work on the phone, but not computer.

Room Tip: Rooms in the HolidayInn are better

f you are traveling solo as a female don't even bother with the luggage carts. they are clunky, there are no ramps so you have to bump them over the curb. very difficult to open the front doors land push the cart through. front desk clerk doesn't help in fact he disappears after check in and is not to be seen the rest of the stay Rates charged are too high for no service at all

We have stayed here on our annual July Colorado trip for 7 years. This year we stayed on 3rd floor for the first time. The first thing I noticed was wrinkled sheets with dark hair on them. Not sure if from housekeeping personnel or prior guest. Sheets did not look fresh. The beds are comfortable though. The small accent cover across the bottom had many stains on it. We had a suite, and the table had strip missing on side. My husband used the sofa bed and the sheets on that had black marks on several places. All the seat cushions of the chairs were stained. The wall had been poorly repaired with spackle and not repainted. There was new carpet on the floor which was very nice. The rack holding towels were a variety of white, some light brown..apparently need to be bleached. There were scuff marks on corner before entering bed area and large spot of paint missing. First morning making coffee there was a coffee pack from prior use. Not sure how long it had been in there. The front of the building has two giant pots that on previous visits, has been filled with pretty flowers. When we asked about it, we were told some child pulled them out, and they weren't going to replace them. This has always added to the first impression of the entrance. The breakfast menu has been the same all these years. Could use some new varieties of items as breakfast is an important amenity that most of us look for, but waffles get old after a while. Certain amount of pastries and muffins are put out, and if you don't get down there early, you are out of luck. The doors are heavy and shut very loudly unless you close it yourself. The day we checked out and were loading our vehicle, a female approached my husband in the parking lot and asked if he had money for a spare tire as she had a blowout. When he said no, she approached another guest and she went inside the motel with him. With newer motels in Pueblo to choose from, we probably will not stay at this location again.

We strive to provide clean, comfortable and friendly accommodations to everyone. I have shared your experience with the staff in order for them to be aware of the guest perspective and presentation of the rooms. I sincerely apologize the suite wasn't up to the normal standard we set. Thank you for sharing this information, it gives us insights how to correct them quicker so it's not a recurring issue.
