We have enjoyed Platanomera but we were hoping for different things.
Our daughters wanted to horse ride everyday but this was really difficult to arrange due to the language barrier. All English communication had to be via the owner’s daughter by text which led to miscommunication.
We had also hoped to arrange going on the climbing wall, do pottery, see the honey making, going hiking etc as advertised on the website. But felt that these would also be very difficult to organise also due to language differences.
We also have been disappointed by the huge wedding and bus trips that were extremely loud with lots of children everywhere. The food although lovely has been limited and lots of items were not available.
We decided to leave early & stay elsewhere. On our last day, we were kindly shown round the farm & the kids held animals & picked vegetables. They were delighted by this. However, we hoped that our introduction to the farm would have been on our arrival not departure.
It feels that weddings and coach trips are the priority. But as a result, our time at Platanorema was not been restful.
If you want a restaurant with rooms and don’t mind noise then this is fine for you but of you are looking for a quiet peaceful time as implied on the website then look elsewhere.More
