always a beautiful day. Even at night the plants and the skyline are gorgeous. You can stay after 8:00pm.

First time here and it is so beautiful with something for everyone. Nice hiking trails and gorgeous trees with great horned owl fledglings, marshy areas with many birds, playground for kids, and a farm with chickens, ducks, sheep, goats, ponies and a pig. Nice creek running through the property with beautiful plantings everywhere.

If you like botanic gardens, this is a must see as it demonstrates a different, natural side of gardens in the Rocky Mountain area. Chatfield has gardens showing both food producing gardens and floral gardens which are well marked and beautifully laid out. There is a large grassy area where they have films in the summer evenings, a corn maze and pumpkin patch in the back area around Halloween and a beautiful winder holiday lights display. Entrance is $5 per vehicle.

We love to go on a summer evening! We bring a picnic or eat at the restaurant located by the pond. So peaceful at night! It's one of the only places you can enjoy during the evening. Christmas lights are so fun as well!
