Spent three nights at the hotel. The bed was uncomfortable and pillows were too, so a good night's sleep was challenging. No coffee until 6:15-ish in the lunch room (no coffee machine or in room coffee pot). Not enough TV stations to suit me. Otherwise, clean and sufficient.

Our room was excellent, very large Jr. suite. Right next to a river, excellent views. It was close to the downtown area too. The breakfast area was very small but there are places to eat that are close.

A no-frills place at reasonable cost. Good - sink outside bathroom, decent TV channel selection, helpful desk person, small fridge in room, coffee in lobby if you request it. Not as good - room furniture pretty Spartan with two straight-backed wooden chairs and small table, small (but flat) TV screen, no coffee in room.

We made reservations in April for a trip in Sept,., since we would be traveling many days on motorcycles [six of us] with luggage not on wheels we requested ground floor rooms and were assured this request would be honored. Note: when there is no elevator we always request ground floor, if not available, we don't stay there. We got in about 5:00 PM or so only to be told no ground floor rooms were available and yes they were aware they had agreed to our request for this. The OWNER came out of her office and started screaming at us, yes she gave our rooms away, she had people staying there for many nights and they were more important than "PEOPLE LIKE YOU" and then proceeded to tell us to go somewhere else. Mind you, we had been on the road for now eleven days, many, many miles and it is a Sunday night, 5:00 PM or so and she is yelling at us 'I DON'T WANT YOUR KIND HERE' and that she makes more money with several nights stays vs one night and to leave!. We didn't, the poor young lady at the desk, fairly new got us one "small" room on the ground floor, not what we reserved and two single queens [again, not what we reserved] on the second floor and we all lug our luggage to our rooms. We found notes about charges if you soiled a towel or one went missing, there was an actual list of what was provided, it went on and on, the continental breakfast was slices of white bread and cold cereal, be very careful if you booked here!

Room tip: book at another hotel
