This was a very good choice for our 2-day visit to Golden. The location is perfect- in a quiet area and only a short walk to downtown. The rooms are comfortable enough if you don’t have too much luggage or clothing to unpack; we did not have a closet or any useable chest of drawers. Furnishings dated, to say the least, but everything was clean and the bathroom was in good order. The breakfast was outstanding!

This bed and breakfast redefines class, comfort and authenticity to a truly Wonderful place to stay. Also one gets to eat a superior breakfast, meeting really neat people from different walks of life. After flying in to Denver and driving to South Dakota for all of the great sites, coming back to Golden Co. was literally saving the best for last. Judy and Dennis are great host and provide an unequivocal bed and breakfast experience. They literally share their 1893 home with the travelers. The real deal! We are thankful they continue to provide such a great accommodation for adult travelers. So relaxing! One block from the downtown of Golden, a relic treasure of an old West Mining town with modern comforts and great Food. Table Mountain Inn and Woody’s Pizza, recommended by Judy was Excellent! Thank You for an excellent two days.

We chose this B&B because of the rather high ratings.

There was everything available you needed and the room was nicely decorated but not according to our taste. If you like those small old fashioned antique items then this is the perfect place for your stay.

The room and bathroom are rather small although you have all you need.

The breakfast was simple and without any bread but you got an omelette, some fruits and muffins.

There is a very nice brewery not far away but the village does not offer a lot of shops or any other attractions.

My daughter and I just needed an overnight stay before joining my cousin and her family and we chose this lovely bed and breakfast. We stayed in the Lavender Room which was really lovely and my daughter enjoyed the décor and the dolls displayed throughout the house. Judy and Dennis were wonderful hosts. Judy made a cute kitty pancake for my daughter which she decorated. My daughter got to see the original buggy that Dennis got to ride when he was a boy. It was a real treat!

I am a little late in writing a review about the delightful Silk Pincushion. The hostess and host were very helpful. The room we stayed in was spacious. Our son was playing in a lacrosse tournament in Golden. He was staying with his team and decided that his accommodations were terrible. We took him by and he decided he wanted to stay with us. Rare for our 16 year old. Our hosts accommodated this happily. We had wonderful, and I mean wonderful, breakfasts there. Each day we received creative cooked breakfasts that were better than any we'd eaten in a bed and breakfast in a long time. And we have spent at least 10 nights each of the past two years in traditional b&bs.

We would definitely return to the Silk Pincushion. It is a beautiful home that is well maintained. The food is excellent and the owners were both delightful and helpful.
