My two friends and I stayed at the Cedar Lodge for a recent "girls weekend" to Glenwood Springs. It is an older motel style, but has been immaculately maintained. The room was spacious enough for the three of us and very clean with comfortable beds. The garden areas around the property are beautiful and we enjoyed having our coffee outside at the picnic area behind the office every morning. Sitting there in the sunshine and admiring the gorgeous flowers was a perfect start to each day. We didn't use the pool, but it, too, looked like a nice place to hang out with family or friends. Parking was a bit harder to find when we returned to our room later at night, but we still got a parking space--it was just a bit further away from our room.
This is a great find for the price and a good choice for friends or families staying in Glenwood Springs. If you are coming from the hot springs pool or main part of downtown, I recommend that you cut over to Blake Avenue and then make a right turn on 23rd Street so that you can turn right into the Cedar Lodge parking lot. Trying to turn left into it off of Grand Ave. took forever because of traffic.More
