We got a good rate & the staff was very friendly! However, don't look too close because this hotel needs updating & a good cleaning. Barely want to give it the 2 stars!

Close your eyes..this hotel is an interior designers nightmare. It looks like a lot of random updates not were not thought through. For instance a Woodsy theme, mixed up finishes & colors that don't match and appear dated. A few things like the bath fan did not function at all. The flat screen tv placed in front of the mirror so it was deemed unusable. The pool table also needs to move away from the breakfast area. Not exact what someone want to hear at the crack of dawn.

The Pho restaurant was a good quality & light meal for a late arrival.nice surprise!

Re-think staying here!

We stayed here last year, and booked again because they accept dogs. The grounds were in better shape than last year. I had booked a king suite, but found out upon check in that those rooms are not designated for pets. We got a two queen bed room next to relief area instead. It was a clean room with a frig and microwave. Can't really complain. The personnel were very friendly. Not a five star hotel, but they don't claim to be.

Room Tip: If you travel with pets, make sure they know when making reservation.

This place needs an update. And maybe its not even possible. We had the unfortunate luck of having a room where the window looked out onto a wall! So there was a very claustrophobic feeling. The place just felt unclean. AND there is a vietnamese restaurant in the lobby... makes the whole place smell like Vietnamese food.

Hello robertfU7338XY,
Thank you for taking the time to share your concerns with us. We realize that the rooms which face the wall of the north wing are not always ideal and we usually try to reserve those rooms last, but during our busiest times it is simply unavoidable. Now that we are entering our off season we will be performing many updates and preventative maintenance tasks to make the hotel it's absolute best. We hope you'll visit us again so we can show you what a fantastic property we truly are!

Check in was great! The clerk checking us in even offered to call the restaurant we had just visited in search of our lost credit card. She was very helpful and nice. The hotel property is a much older property and it showed. The elevator was very small and even though they had tried to put a mirror it in to seem less claustrophobic it was still perceived as very small. the room was of average size although the bathroom was quite small. Beds were really very comfortable but pillows were questionable. Every thing was clean but the towels in the bathroom were rather ratty. TV was fine although the air conditioning unit was not working very well. They had provided typed out instructions but they were not easy to understand and we never did figure out how to work it. So, our room remained very warm. Breakfast was average. Nice selection but because of the bird flew they were not offering any egg dishes except boiled eggs. The sausages were still frozen and the bacon was paper thin. They did have a nice selection of coffee and the right condiments for it. The breakfast area was clean and stocked well. Check out was fine. However, they charge you a fee for the safe even though you don't use it. Be sure to ask for it to be removed. All and all just average for the money.
