My wife and I wanted to try the recently opened Smokin Fins restaurant in the Foothills Mall. Since we were thinking about seafood, this seemed like a good place for a mid-week lunch. Inside seating– with tables, booths and a bar - and patio seating are available. We took a booth inside, where the setting is comfortable and attractive. The menu has interesting choices of fresh seafood sushi and smoked meats. My wife was ready for fish tacos, so the Mahi Mahi Taco plate was just right for her. There was plenty of well-prepared fish in tasty tortillas. I had the Lemon Caper Alaskan Halibut plate. I thought this was truly special. The fish, sauce and trimmings made a richly flavored meal. The service was good too. We enjoyed chatting with our waiter and the enthusiastic manager. We look forward to eating here again.
