The room was bare of any thrills, The bathroom sink leaked and the air conditioner sounded like a jet engine when it cycled on to cool to the set temperature. The carpet was dirty. The bed was adequate and not too uncomfortable. The television was the one surprising positive. Despite being an old CRT model, the picture was bright and clear. In the end, the 'no frills' motel was over-priced and a disappointment.

The price was very affordable, the staff were super nice and the location is fantastic. The room was run down. Carpet was thin and beyond cleaning. Of the two mattresses, one was comfortable, the other was sagging badly. The fridge and microwave were a great amenity and were clean, the addition of a coffee maker would be perfect. Linens and beds were clean. Towels were a bit on the scratchy side and small. Free wifi was dependable and plenty fast. Relatively quiet, though you can hear water running, floors creaking and a/c units from the other rooms. The bathroom was bad. Tiles broken, grout gone, sink top coming apart, walls melted at tub level to floor on both ends of the tub, showing black mold through the patching. No exaggeration, there were mushrooms growing out of the wall behind the toilet! I read that there are new owners as of very recently and I hope that they will be able to make repairs needed to turn this into the motel it could be. Couldn't ask for a better location, or better staff. Mixed feelings on the overall experience.

Let me preface this by saying that we planned on doing a lot of things in the Durango/Silverton area and we were only planning on using the room to sleep. That being said, the hotel was just what we wanted. The room was clean, the sheets were fresh, and the price was right ($80 plus tax per night). The room had a microwave and fridge (and the last few places we stayed for double the price did not). It was quiet at night and has a nice pool. My only suggestion would be to replace the towels, which were thin and scratchy, and to provide shampoo. Other than that, it was great and we would stay there again.

Arriving from North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia & Arkansas & having never been to Durango, our group did not know what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised. The Days End has an ideal location ~ within walking distance to town, to Durango Doughworks, to the park, to swings, to walking trails, to the river, to the trolley stop ~ wow! We couldn't believe our good fortune. Josh at the front desk was Mr. Multi-tasker, very pleasant & accommodating! We really appreciated that the motel was in the process of a remodel. Our rooms were clean, freshly painted & the beds seemed in excellent shape. We appreciated having a microwave & fridge in the room and if management adds a coffee maker then our every need would have been met! The pool was perfect & the lounge seating ample & comfortable. We would recommend this lodging to travelers.

Room Tip: not all rooms have fridge & microwave yet so if these are important request with your reservation. Also, bring your own coffee set-up.

Very run down, old beds that are not comfortable. The pictures online are very deceiving. The showers are awful. When someone in another room users the water it effects both the pressure and temperature. The TV was to low to watch from the bed. If your desperate this hotel is clean and the morning donuts were good but that's about the only good things I can say about the hotel.
