“Very Expensive, Nothing New Year after Year, Elitist Staff”
Reviewed 19 September 2012

I've been to this garden multiple times over years and nothing is ever changed, except the rising rates to get in. The food is reheated frozen dinners garbage that could make you sick and wildly over-priced and half the plants are dying. Membership is astronomical and the "garden" is actually covered with ice and closed for 7 months out of the year.

“So Pretty but bring your allergy medicine!”
Reviewed 18 September 2012

My husband and I spent 30 minutes here until he started sneezing, itching his eyes and coughing. He's not allergic to any plants we know of, but there were so many there he has never been exposed to, we have no idea what made him react.

So take a really great camera and some allergy medicine and you'll be okay.

“Gorgeous”
Reviewed 18 September 2012

Spent about 5 hours there. Fantastic flowers and spectacular bamboo sculptures. The Japanese garden area is breath taking. Just keep in mind that it can get sunny so bring a hat!

“Retreat from the heat and noise”
Reviewed 17 September 2012

The Denver Botanical Gradens are located in a residential area of Denver, so it is a quiet oasis from the business of the city. The ponds filled this summer with Asian art created from Bamboo is a treat fro the eye. The settings for each of the gradens matches the type of graden created, Japanese, Spiritual, native western, etc. . . Teh English periennial garden is very well done. Stroll at your leisure through bonsai, roses, and water fountains. It is well worth the trip.

“Great Concert Venue”
Reviewed 17 September 2012

Saw Bruce Hornsby and the Noisemakers at the Botanic Gardens on August 30th. Beautiful, intimate venue. Bring (short) chairs, blankets, etc. If the concert is a big draw, space will be at a premium.
