Description: django's is a locally owned restaurant in Crested Butte, with a seasonal menu of globally inspired small plates. This culinary adventure offers a fun dining experience best shared with friends: the plates are brought one at a time, for everyone to taste more than 20 different selections on the weekly menu. The wines are served by quartino (250ml) carafe, to allow for pairing and sampling across an extensive list focused on European and South American wines. The interior is elegant yet casual, offering seating in low banquettes, high tables, or on the balcony overlooking the bar. If you prefer dining outdoors, grab a table on the front patio, where you can see and be seen on Elk Avenue.

“Lived up to our expectations--food, service atmosphere”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 March 2012

My husband and I enjoy finding top notch restaurants when we travel. Djangos lived up to our expectations. The staff were all very friendly, the menu was interesting and the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was fun--trendy and yet was and inviting at the same time. We lIked the small plate format as that allowed us to try different items and "right size" the meal for us. We had the "date with a pig", beet salad, crispy Brussels sprouts, rabbit cannelloni, flourless chocolate cake and stirred custard. All were delicious. Our favorites were th e beet salad and chocolate cake. The wine list was excellent also. We would definitely go back.

“Very nice dinner!”

Excellent food, but a bit pricey. Quality was really good though, and the family-style small plates make it a great experience.

“Delightful dishes”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 March 2012

A friendly host seated us promptly. We enjoyed a series of small plates (tapas style), particularly the crispy brussels sprouts, the scallops and mussels with chorizos! Great background music and a lively buzz all in all.

The only thing was we felt a bit hurried, like they wanted to clear our table fast. When we were at the door ready to leave, it took awhile for the coat check person to show up.

“Unusual restaurant and unusually good”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 March 2012

This is a small plate or tappas restaurant at the base of the ski mountain in Crested Butte, CO. When you order multiple plates, and you need 3-4, they are brought out in sequence so those dining are always tasting, never waiting for the next course. Although known for their roasted Brussels sprouts, the seared scallops followed by the tenderest elk medallions in a reduction sauce were superb. There was also a very good '08 Chilean syrah from the Colchagua Valley bottled by Montes Alpha at $15 per quartino. Not the most expensive in town but on the costlier side if you eat and drink normally.

“Great food and service”

Small plate format. Had about 8 dishes for a family of 4. Reasonably priced based on the quality of food.
