Owner description: Frisco or San Francisco. Denver or Dallas. It doesn't matter where you're from. If you've skied here, you've been raised on some of the best Colorado has to offer. For generations, people have valued a down-to-earth ski experience that puts friends, family and a relaxed mountain atmosphere above all else. It's why the Colorado front range has always considered Copper the home team, and why families from across the globe call Copper home. The place you go for a mountain experience that's refreshingly void of pretense. Wherever your home address may be, if you've skied here, you've been raised on Colorado. Welcome home.

I'm going to Copper Mountain with a Church Group, Houston First Baptist. Because I was the only person wanting to learn to snowboard, copper mountain wanted to charge me the full price for 6 hours which is over $ 700. I am not unable to take lessons because that's essentially the cost of the condo for a weeks stay, food and flight just for 6 hours of potentially terrible lessons. I just can't justify it. I wish they were as polite and affordable as Winter Park. I love that place. I will never be coming back to copper mountain again after this experience. I hate it and I honestly wish it would go out of business. They are designed to cater to the extremely wealthy or experienced adults. They offer no discounts for kids either.

A wonderful mountain for beginners and experts alike! A day in the Mountain beats any day at work! A warm sunny spring day makes all the stresses melt away! The skiing was fantastic: the quality of snow given the fact that it is late in the season was really good. Do watch out for the odd rock or tree branch! Highly recommend one more trip before ‘mud season’!

It doesn't matter if your an expert or a beginner, Copper Mountain is fantastic with terrain challenges for everyone. Modern lifts and friendly staff, and most import good snow!
The village restaurants and bars are surrounded by condo's with views of the mountain. Fresco is just down the road for more bars, restaurants and all amenities. If your into shopping Silverthorne has a massive outlet mall. It's also a great base to visit surround ski fields.

This is the best tubing run in Summit County, CO.

Not just a straight run, 4 or 5 lanes. Each lane features a long sweeping turn so with speed you climb the wall a bit. You get Good speed and they allow you to plummet down as groups.
So they have single and double tubes but you can have a group of 3, 5, 7, 8 or more tubes each holding the other's handles or legs and fly down the run in a wild spinning mess....FUN!

An hour of runs is a lot, magic carpet whisked back to top. We found the run furthest from magic carpet to be fastest.

PS
If not staying at Copper park in free lot across higgway, take free bus to tubing area, other busses can also get you to resort center so you can eat lunch or whatever.

Copper has a nice set up in center of village where you can sit out, eat or have a drink and watch skiers coming down.

Very easy to get to, right off the interstate.
Sign in process was fast. Pre purchase your rental for discounted rates!
Free parking with a free shuttle.
3 kids 6, 9, 12 all had a blast tubing. The magic carpet-people mover makes getting up the hill easy for everyone. 1 hour was plenty for at least 6-7 runs down .
