We had great appetizers, with bonus atmosphere getting to set on the veranda facing Broadmoor's postcard worthy lake. Service was good but Italian casual speed, not trying to turn the table in 30 minutes! Serving delicious Lavazza brand coffee and wonderful dessert options. Worth a second visit before you depart the resort vacation.

First, we were confused why we couldn't make reservations on Open Table for this restaurant at The Broadmoor, but could for the others. Also, when we checked into the hotel our papers included our reservation at La Taverne and the spa, but not here. A tad odd.
Nice decor, very authentic. Service was very attentive. I had the Pappadarelle Bolognese and roasted cauliflower and my husband had the lasagna. Both were delicious and the cauliflower was a delicious change on a dinner menu. The wine the sommelier recommended was perfect, though I can not get over the mark up on these wines. It is really hard to enjoy a $50 bottle of wine when you're paying $100 for it! Can't help but believe they'd pour a larger quantity of bottles is they just dropped the price 20% across the board.
For dessert we enjoyed Chocolate - Almond filled cannoli and strawberry swirl gelato. Delightful endings to a nice dinner. Enjoy the weather and ask for a table by the open windows. Gorgeous view of the lake. An adjoining table had mom, dad, two children and the nanny. I wish someone would have toned down the kiddos a bit. They were quite loud and active.

Those that have traveled Italy will appreciate the food here. The entrees are true to Italian form. The tuna steak was amazing, as was the house-made spaghetti. Save room for gelato because it is also wonderful, and pair it with a decaf espresso if dining at night (surprisingly wonderful). During the day time grab a seat outside overlooking the lake. Its a hard view to beat. The bar tender was also able to make a mean Old Fashioned and our waitress was especially kind. Make sure to book a reservation in advance if coming during peak hours on a Friday or Saturday night.

I always love to visit the Broadmoor when in C Springs. Complimentary Valet parking and a stroll around the lake led us to the bar at the Del Lago. It was a cool evening so we sat by the indoor fireplace and enjoyed a glass of wine and appetizers while visiting. Everything was excellent, served by the ever attentive staff at the hotel. Don't pass up the Broadmoor - Enjoy!

Our first night stay, we had dessert at Del Lago. Gelato, tiramisu, and cannolis. Excellent. Second night, girls wanted pasta and we all had a different pasta dish. All were very good. And so affordable, too. Great, friendly service.
