We stayed in a suite with one king and 2 twins. It worked great for our family of 4. The room had a little kitchenette with sink, refrigerator and microwave which was perfect for preserving leftovers (from The Goat restaurant nearby) and reheating the next day. The hotel in general seems older but I was thoroughly impressed with how clean it was. I managed vacation rentals so I’m pretty critical when it comes to this area. We didn’t hit up the continental breakfast but it looked to have all the basic go-tos to get your day started (waffles, cereal, bagels, eggs etc.) .
For us in the mornings we really enjoyed putting the kiddos in a stroller for a brisk 20min walk into downtown Carbondale for coffee and pastries at Bonfire Cafe.
For lunch one day, we were pleasantly surprised by The Red Rock Diner across the street where they carry grass fed beef burgers from a local farm just down the street. Also, we definitely recommend wrapping up your meal with one of their bomb milkshakes or a piece of mud pie.
All is all a great stay and would highly recommend.More
