The venue was a perfect gathering place for a September weekend wedding. The guests could stay outside or go in and there was plenty of room. There's a nice service kitchen for the caterer if you go that route. The fireplace was charming and we had plenty of room to set up a bar/bartender in the corner. It's a beautiful location. We're so glad we booked Carter Park. It appears to be a very popular venue for rehearsal dinners - there was one setting up the day prior to ours. We used Moe's BBQ for catering and they're very familiar with the venue.
This is a great local park- would be better if the people who use the dog park would "pick-up". The park provides plenty of poop bags and garbage cans but we have stopped going because of the attitude of the crowd of young men with large dogs who refuse to clean up after dogs.
So my family and I dropped into this place to use some snow toys we had, more than anything since it was free public space. There was a small crowd enjoying the hill, signs posted for wolves, plenty of sunshine. Will check this place out again on our next visit to Breck!
This is a very nice hike, up the stairs. When you get to the top of the stairs you can see the peaks at Breckenridge resort. You can keep going, but be careful for the bicyclist. The paths from the top of the stairs appeared to be shared with them. It is a short 15-20 minute hike up to the top of the stairs.
If you need a day off from skiing but still want to enjoy the snow, this is it. It is a fantastic sledding hill and it's free! It also adjoins to a dog park if you need some "social" time or exercise for your dog. It's located just two blocks from Main Street.
The teenagers love outdoor sports and being from Texas, this was a must do. We stopped at Duggars to pick up our picnic lunch and headed over to Carter Park. It had a wonderful covered picnic area, clean public bathrooms, and a ton of areas for different sports. The teens enjoyed the soccer park and enjoyed watching all the dogs in the dog park as well. Beautiful scenic backdrop with the mountains behind.
