“A perfect town in the mountains”
Reviewed 12 October 2010

Boulder, a neat town surrounded by mountains with a beautiful view, good restaurants, especially sushi bars. Perfect climate - dry, warm in the summer, mildly cold in winter. Close to Skiing resorts. Wonderful parks and lakes in close distance.

“The liveliest place of the sunniest state in America”
Reviewed 9 July 2010

Boulder! Many of you might not konw this place, but it is a famous univeristy town in America. The city is about 40 minutes outside Colorado's capital city Denver, and is one of the most desirable places for parents to send their children to (voted as the most beautiful campus in America, great for subjects such as Physics, Astronomy, Business, Music and many others) with 4 Nobel Prize winners so far. It is also a desirable place for students to go for the extra curriculums (world class resorts around, Rocky Mountain National Park, and other outdoor sports in general.

On top of all that, it is also a place where many people buy their 2nd holiday homes. It is a place full of Europeans (direct flights from many major European cities, such as London, Paris, Munich, Frankfurt, etc.), they even serve European delicacies as well as European size strong coffees drinks!

Next time you are in America, pop over to Boulder that lies in the state known as the Switzerland of America, for both winter and summer sports, attend Nobel Prize winners' lectures, and world no. 1 Takacs String Quartet concerts (they are the resident quartet), sip some coffee over a great view and enjoy the other wonderful things this university city has to offer!

“Heaven meets earth”
Reviewed 2 July 2010

Boulder is about as idealic as I can imagine. Walk Pearl Street and go from sub-urban box store land to walking mall and foothills to rock-climbing and hiking for hours without even noticing the transition. The kindness of locals, the exhuberant outdoor attitude and life style, as well as the availability of any number of urban to mountain activities makes this the most incredible place I've been in I can't remember how long.

Even if you don't think you are the outdoors type, or are fixed on a more urban cultural experience, you will likely surprise yourself. Dining is great with many restaurants boasting local goods, organic options, and healthy alternatives. There are lots of festivals, many just in the park off Pearl Street mall. There are parks, walking/biking trails and paths everywhere. The local farmer's market is on Wednesday and Saturday.

Restaurants to check out are the Tea House on 13th at Canyon, Leaf on Pearl at 15th, and Salt on Pearl at 9th.

“My favorite CO frontrange town”
Reviewed 21 October 2009

Great shopping, dining on Pearl St.
Excellent microbreweries and brewpubs - they're all good.
Fun college atmosphere near CU. Lots of good sandwich shops.
Nice hiking trailheads (Flat Irons) at Chautauqua - not too challenging or lengthy, but pretty and easy to get to.
Chautauqua is a lovely place to stay. Cozy.

“Boulder Rules!”
Reviewed 14 October 2009

I've lived in Boulder for about 7 months now, and I love it! Check out the tour at Walnut Brewery on Walnut St. Awesome tour of the brewery plus you get a bunch of free samples at the end. Also, just hanging out on the Pearl St. Mall is a fun exercise in people watching. See if you can spot the 10 ft. tall unicycle-riding, fire-juggling clown!
