We booked onto a wine tasting session as part of our Honeymoon to San Francisco, part of the reason we booked on was our link to the ‘Jessup’ name and the other was the great reviews it already had, we certainly weren’t disappointed. We tasted some exceptional great wines along with some perfect cheese, crackers, nuts and chocolate. Our Server Matt was super friendly and helpful and had a lot of knowledge of the winery and answered all our questions we had. We cannot wait to show off our beautiful wine we bought to take back to the UK and will most definitely go back if we are ever over here again. Thank you for a great day.

Spent an afternoon of wine tasting in the tasting salon with Megan (& Hobie). Make sure to make a reservation. Megan is very personable and provided us with so much information on the wines. We tasted so many different varietals we were glad our hotel was down the road. Favorites were Jule, Table for Four, Pinot Noir and the Sauvignon Blanc.

We visited Jessup in June on a Monday afternoon. The building is gorgeous, right in the heart of Yountville. At the time we arrived, we were the only people there. We were greeted by the friendliest staff and taken to our table for our tasting.

The tasting was AMAZING!! One of the best tasting experiences we've ever had. Each wine was presented and explained, paired with a delicious cheese. Our host was kind, patient, in no hurry and extremely knowledgeable. We felt like he had nothing else to do but entertain us.

I can not say enough great things about Jessup. We loved it, joined thier club and have already received our first shipment. Great people, great wine, great decor, great afternoon.

We visited Jessup with a friend who is a club member. The wines are very good quality, and fair priced, for The Valley.
The reds are “Big”, nice blends and Cabs. Excellent Sauvignon Blanc, and I’m not a white fan.
I believe the tasting is $40, including generous pours and a cheese pairing. Nuts and chocolate bites that pair with very good ports, both Cab and Zin.
Megan did a wonderful job, she’s not a veteran, but has a great future ahead. She’s about service and hospitality, that’s the most important part.

First: call ahead to arrange a tasting. Second: know that after you show up, you can walk 100 feet to R & D Kitchen to have a great meal afterwards--you'll need it.

This place is comfortable. Nice, bright, open. Plenty of local art for sale around the entire building. Then you get a fairly private table. Megan was our server/wine connoisseur. We had 5 wines to chose from. Also, water, a 'spit bucket', mixed nuts, crackers (loved this) and local cheeses (I'd do back just for the cheese!) were provided.

Megan took the time to explain the wines and what made each special. She also went off the path a bit and had us to a side by side comparison a couple time and also provided us a port style wine at the end to try. I think our glasses were 1/3 full so we got a bit tipsy at the end. If you are really into wine, use the 'spit bucket'--otherwise enjoy the buzz! Megan also had some great stories about the wines and local stories about Napa. She also showed us a 3D map of the region and where the grapes were grown.

We left with a couple bottles of wine. You'll pay around $80 a person for the tasting. We thought for what we received, it was a great experience. Keep in mind, my wife and I are not wine or alcohol drinkers in any way and this was our first experience. So if you are new like us, it's a great value. I guess if you are experienced and do this a lot--hopefully it also fits your palette on value.

Advice: drink the wine first--then cleanse your palette with water and crackers--then eat the cheese and keep some in your mouth before the wine. There is a difference. Also, walk around the place and look at the art after having some wine. And put your phones down--you won't need them here :)
