Description: In a recent review The DAILY BREEZE wrote .... "There are some wonderful small restaurants that dot the landscape of Italy. If you want to duplicate the experience of traveling to Europe without the expense, visit Scardino's Italian Restaurant in Torrance." We are a family owned and operated ristorante much like one would find in the neighborhoods of any southern Italian city. Our authentic recipes originate from all southern provinces of the country. Our pasta, pizza and seafood is carefully prepared each day with the highest quality ingredients available, most imported from Italy. We also have an excellent selection of moderately priced Italian wines and fantastically delicious Tiramisu. The Iorillo Family - Phillip & Pauline along with daughters Tracy & Kristi - and their friendly, professional staff will pamper you with world-class service and Italian hospitality. Our intimate, warm Italian atmosphere makes Scardino's the perfect choice for entertaining your family & friends.

“Excellent Italian in the South Bay”

We routinely eat at Scardino's for good reason - the food is fabulous. The pasta with vodka sauce is a must-try and, if you are on a tight budget, their early supper meals are reasonably priced with good options.

Their house sauce is flavorful yet light and you can always count on the pasta preparation to be spot-on. If you opt for dessert try the tiramisu, it's the best I've had since moving to LA...

My strongest recommendation is call ahead or get their early, seating is limited and they can get busy...

“When in Torrance, eating here is a MUST”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 March 2010

First night of my first real vaca, and we didn't really know the area. Found this place by chance, actually at first looking for a pizza place. The inside tables were all taken, the waitress asked if we would rather sit outside, which we opted for. She made up the table quickly and politely, even turned on the heater for us, and got our drink order. A different waiter brought out our drinks, and took our food order, very nice gentleman who also made chit chat with us for a little while as well. Food came, and it was plentiful and very very tasty. Bill was very fair, spent 50 bucks including tip for 3 people, 2 of us drinking beer with dinner. If you want a damn good resturant, this is it. Also ate at TGI Fridays, Hooters on Hollywood blvd, and Bubba Gump Shrimp, Scardinos was by far the best on food quality, service, and price.

“Scardino's has changed hands”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 February 2009

Ownership changed over a year ago. Salvatore is no longer there but the food is still mighty good. Salvatore had an affinity for certain dishes that will be missed but the new owners have made improvements in the operation overall. Well worth dining regularly!

“Wonderful meal - Excellent Tiramisu!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 May 2008

We had dinner there last nite - this was our third time here. The first time was with the previous owners and the other two with the new owners. The first time was great - the second time when we found out the restaurant was under new management we weren't quite sure what to expect but we were pleasantly surprised. After reading so much about their pizza, this time I had to try their pizza but I opted for a little healthier choice and opted for the Vegetable Pizza with a side of marinara and their specialty salad (yummy - I got the dressing on the side). All I can say is, if their vegetable pizza is that good, I can't wait to try their specialty pizza! My husband ordered the half lasagna and spaghetti and it was wonderful - their sauce is fantabulous! My mom-in-law ordered the Chicken Vesuvio and it was wonderful as well. There was so much food that all of us took food home and we were soooo stuffed but I just had to try the Tiramisu. I am a fan for life. Bon Appetite' The entire meal was excellent - can't wait to try their pizza (and of course some more Tiramisu!!). Well, gotta go as we are getting ready to have a nice little feast on our leftovers from last nite. Bravo Scardino's!
