Tamara happened by fluke as initially, the plan was to stay at Taj Madikeri, but Taj was sold entirely for a few days, so I split the trip between Taj and Tamara.
The start was good as soon as the booking took place, and Divya Selvaraj from Tamara got in touch and organized some of the travel needs from Bangalore airport to the resort. She was very helpful during the entire stay as we had to move a few dates, and she made it all happen.
Getting to the resort is a bit of a hindrance, but we got a call-in advance saying the route to the hotel is a little narrow, so we should be just fine. The reception doesn’t do justice to the resort, and I think that was the only thing we were underwhelmed post that it was all uphill.
The resort is nestled practically in the coffee plantation, and the rooms are tree houses surrounded by greenery and great views. The service and hospitality are exceptional that we ended up staying there was four days instead of two days initially planned. They have also scenic pathways from the suites to other parts of the resort.
Naveen, the executive chef, and his team do a great job of keeping you fed with various cuisines. The service at the counters was brilliant, led by Mr. Bhathal and his team. Naveen is very hands-on and even took special requests...Tamara happened by fluke as initially, the plan was to stay at Taj Madikeri, but Taj was sold entirely for a few days, so I split the trip between Taj and Tamara.

The housekeeping did a brilliant job and even surprised us with some decorations done by Lathika and Manoj.
Lots of activities on offer, so depending on how active you want to be, you can choose an activity a day or multiple actions. We ended up playing some tennis, cricket, star gazing, and some treks.
Overall, we never heard a no in the four-day stay, and people and staff went out of their way to make our stay pleasant, and we were pampered.
A must stay if you are visiting Coorg.More
