Had a good day of skiing with two friends. Snow stayed good until 2 p.m. then got slushy.
Will have to say that they were unprepared for Easter break, the food options were slim
and not very appetizing. There was also only 1 cashier working which made for long lines
which in turn made your food get cold.

We enjoyed the skiing at Alpine, but everything else was definitely sub-par. When you pay $124 for a ticket, you expect a good food and beverage experience and clean restrooms. This was not the case on our visit today. At noontime, there was only one food station available, and even at that, you couldn't get a hamburger! I wound up with a lukewarm bratwurst, which would not have been my second, or even third choice. There were no salad options available. The line to pay had about 30 people in it and only ONE cashier. By the time I ate my food, the bun was soggy and the brat was cool. Not at all acceptable. The restroom was dirty with one toilet unavailable because of a mess. I was extremely disappointed in the services provided by Alpine Meadows.

I've been skiing Alpine Meadows since my first time on skis in 1982. It has some of the finest skiing at the lake. No matter where I've skied at Lake Tahoe, or any other place in the U.S. be it WA, CA,UT,CO,WY,NH or NC I've never found anything better. Though Lake Tahoe doesn't get a lot of powder you can't beat Alpine Meadows/Squaw for terrain or grooming. Anything from beginner runs to the most challenging steeps, Alpine's terrain hangs with the best. From Steep trees, to a tight winding creek that goes by the name of Skateboard to chutes and cornices. Views to die for. Alpine is a family oriented playground for the snow lover be they on skis or snowboard.
Between the two towns of Truckee and Tahoe City your sure to find everything from fine Swiss cuisine to your favorite Pizza after a fun filled and exciting day at Alpine Meadows.

Excellent ski area. Never hardly ever disappoints. The terrain is widely varied and offers something for every level skier. And bonus is the views from lakeside chair. Stunning!

This is a terrific ski area, which is now combined with Squaw Valley. There is a mellow vibe to this place, and it is very Family friendly. The local mountain opens up any number of outstanding ski runs off the Summit and Scott chairlifts. And at the end of the day, it's fun to kick back & relax on the large sun deck at the historic main Lodge. I have been skiing here for years, and it's just a wonderful place. And only 10 minutes from Lake Tahoe!
