We were staying local and selected this restaurant based on Trip Adviser ratings and convenience.
Outside is not auspicious but there was car parking adjacent.
Inside we were immediately welcomed and seated, menus were presented and we settled into a very pleasant dining experience.
After a brief chat about wines our waiter brought two bottles for Mrs H to sample; a nice touch when just ordering by the glass.
The decor is old fashioned, interesting and attractive in its style with dark woods, subdued lighting and white clothed tables.
The waiter, authentic Italian, ( I suspect he may have been the owner except there was an Indian gentleman acting as greeter who seemed to be observing everything without direct involvement) was charming, had a good line in humour and was happy to make recommendations.
We both had the home-made minestrone soup ( included with a main course selection) which was great. I had spaghetti with bolognese and Mrs H had spinach & cheese ravioli with egg plant sauce: "its the lightest of our sauces and delicious".
Both were served in authentic style, al dente.
Mine was very enjoyable; the ravioli wasn't so good. It was overpowered by the sauce and undercooked so that the parcels were still hard.
Perhaps a matter of preference than fault.
So if you find yourself in this quarter and want a real taste of Italy try Buon Gusto. We could have been in Naples. And it was pretty much half the price of eating in the city.
