Upon arrival at midnight, the receptionist was more interested in answering the phone than dealing with the customer who has prepaid and waiting to check in. The dated room was located above the lobby and the sliding doors downstairs in the lobby, seriously hindered getting any sleep. The room also smelt of stale smoke as the smoking area was located outside the front door. Yes, we would have requested a move only for the fact that we were too tired and had some stuff unpacked.

One piece of advice, use footwear when walking from the bed to the bathroom.

Breakfast was basic.

When checking out, I thought it was the right time to provide feedback but receptionist (different person) really didn't have any interest in inquiring about our stay and continues chatting with colleague throughout the process.

Best piece of advice, select another hotel.

It's not horrendous but when you factor the cost of the stay + parking + it's more of a industrial area what are you really paying for? The trains coming and going all night is exhausting thanks to the paper mache walls and the route to get to the hotel is a bit confusing. We circled it three times before we figured out where the entrance was without going wrong way driving. The room didn't feel overly clean but it was clean enough since we were so tired. The bed was decent and the towels were soft. The breakfast was uninviting and the parking situation has a threatening tone for compliance. With so many choices I would not stay here again.

I have stayed at many comfort Inns around the country. This one rates on the low end. The room was okay but the paper thin walls are junk. I would not stay here again. We did enjoy South san francisco downtown.

It was decent place to stay and the price was right considering how expensive san fran can be. They have ton's of parking there and they still charge you to park should be included.Breakfast is crazy busy there.

Room Tip: make sure you get a room away from train tracks!!!

I used to stay at Comfort Inns quite a bit. Lately I have found them to be rundown a bit. The front desk customer service was good. Our room was clean and comfortable. So no complaints. What made the stay average was the breakfast. It seems that they use undersized equipment for the amount of volume they have to serve. We waited 15 min for sausages to be put out after they ran out. My wife asked for OJ and the man working the area had a poor attitude and said they were out. They were very slow to refill any product that needed replenishment. The man that was working the area look very unenthused to be doing his job.
