HOTEL UNDER CONSTRUCTION! Rooms are nice but hotel is in total disarray. Atrium is dirt and rocks draped with plastic tarps Although kitchen is open, diningroom is now a barren banquet room Front desk consists of two round draped tables Barren inside concrete walkways. Entire hotel has temperature set to one standard setting that cannot be individually changed. Rooms were too warm and stuffy. Do not stay here until construction is complete in 6 months!

My Mom & I planned a Bay Area trip in which we stayed in a wonderful AirBnB flat. My Mom wanted to stay in Embassy Suites on our last nite because we used to frequent the hotel on family trips during my childhood. We especially enjoyed the made to order breakfast and overall ambiance of the hotels. We were very disappointed in this location. We arrived to find it was under renovation which wasn't mentioned during the call with the reservations agent. There was a make shift temporary lobby area and the counter employee was noticeably frustrated & overwhelmed because she was dealing with phone calls, others in the lobby approaching and trying to check us in. She needed help which is a management issue! As we rode the elevator to our room, we noticed the entire first floor was under renovation...there goes that ambiance we enjoy! Our room was decent, but the next day we went to breakfast to find it was a pre - made buffet...there goes that made to order breakfast we enjoy! Not sure if that was because of renovation or a norm. Either way, we felt that paying full price (other than AARP discount) was unfair for this stay. Had I known this hotel was under renovation and didn't have made to order breakfast, I would have opted to book at the other SFO location where we would've hopefully received our monies worth and had an different experience worth a better review.

First, the hotel was a mess, they were renovating the lobby and they didn't say when we booked it that it was being renovated so the check in had to be made in a literal tent, the lobby was a mess, the breakfast (low quality) had to be eaten in a dirty room aside and not even the guests fit, you had to wake up early so you could get at least something to eat if not you would not be able to find a table or any (decent) food. When we booked the hotel, the final price did not include "extra" costs (parking) they put later which they announced in a letter when you entered the room that it would be $30 each day and apart from that the parking was always full and people parked in 2 spaces and the staff wouldn't do anything about it. The first night we heard in the upstairs room like if someone was hammering the floor or jumping but seriously loud at like 2 am, we thought it would be only the first night so we didn't say anything but it was every night and when we called to report it they didn't do anything about it. All the services were really bad. The next door hotel Hampton Inn by Hilton too shared the same parking lot divided by some cones the difference was it was free for Hampton Inn guests. Besides, it is NOT A CHEAP hotel.

A note that our check in experience is in our ballroom not a tent. We are certainly striving to make everyone's stay as pleasant and the experience as positive as possible.

There is a bulldozer in the lobby. I am not kidding. See my photos. The website says they are doing renovation, but it does not prepare you for the massive construction zone and noise at this hotel. I feel sorry for the staff. I talked to many of them and one told me "a lot of us go home and cry after work" because we are so stressed by dealing with unhappy guests in impossible conditions. Most of the staff I talked with want the hotel closed temporarily and to be transferred to other properties. The owners do not seem to care how many negative reviews the hotel gets on Tripadvisor (please read them and do not reward this greedy owner by staying at a construction site). I am sad to say this because I am Hilton Honors gold (have been diamond in the past) and have had pleasant stays at this property before. Please spread the word to other Hilton Honors members. I could say a lot about not made to order breakfast, long lines for food, etc, but others have already said it in their reviews. Right now, a hotel only for the truly desperate!

Room Tip: Stay away until renovation is complete.

Bugs in our bed! Meldew in the bathroom . Our furniture and carpet was soiled . The way the food was being served and stored was against every health code violation. Shuttle never got us at the airport
