This B&B is in a lovely old home. Quiet, cozy, and clean. Cookies upon arrival, and the breakfasts were great, wine and cheese and crackers in the afternoon. Conveniently located to where we were going (Occidental college for a track meet).

What's not to love? Cozy, comfortable home; convenient location; wine and cheese in the afternoon; delicious breakfasts in the morning; friendly folks!
My husband, daughter and I stayed 3 nights (our first visit to the area), as our daughter was moving to Pasadena to start a new job.

My husband and I stayed at the Arroyo Vista Inn for two visits with our family who live in Los Angeles and Orange County. The Inn is located in a peaceful location of South Pasadena, within a short distance of the 5 and 110 Freeways as well as shopping and restaurants. The room was large and tastefully decorated with a beautiful view. The bed was very comfortable and the bath was updated and very spacious The breakfasts were delicious and made-to-order. The Inn provides free wi-fi. During our stay, Janice, the general manager, and her staff were accommodating to all our needs and personal requests. We intend to stay at the Arroyo Vista Inn any and all times we visit Pasadena in the future.

This B&B is in an old historic home. Best aspects are the quiet elevated grounds, comfortable beds, evening wine and cheese as well as freshly baked chocolate chip cookies, and the fine breakfast. You can easily walk into South Pasedena or further....we walked all the way to the Rose Bowl, seeing some of the Rose Parade, 5 years ago. You will need to handle stairs to get to your room and go up a steep driveway to reach the house. Many rooms have nice views. The bathrooms are quite dated.

Room Tip: We prefer the rooms on the first floor and north side for the view

The inn itself is lovely, charming, and well decorated. The room we stayed in was very pretty and had a lovely view. I love the soft green upstairs and all of the antique furniture. The bathroom was spotless and tastefully updated. The big issue was that we couldn't enjoy the balcony because the traffic noise from Monterey Ave below and the 110 was just too much for me. It was ok with the doors closed (they provided decent noise insulation), but it nixed the balcony, which had been something I'd looked forward to.
