Nice place! It was very busy though so the staff was a little distracted. Wine tasted good and we took a few bottles home...

A trip to Sonoma Wine Country should include a visit to this magnificent and historic property. The Sebastiani family were early pioneers in the wine business, and today, their bottlings are sleek, polished, and beautifully balanced. Be sure to check out their Cherry Block Cabernet, incredibly delicious. One could surmise the name is inspired by the dark cherry like fruit, but you'd be mistaken. Cherries replaced vines during prohibition, hence the wines name!

This has great value wines and the service was fantastic. The place is great for red wines and half the price of Napa.

Over 100 years of wine history located a few miles from the downtown Sonoma Plaza. We missed the 11:00 tour, but they have a "self-made" tour through 3 or 4 rooms with plaques to read. Main room of small museum has 8 or so large oaken barrels, and one even able to hold 50,000 plus gallons. Another room shows 4 work machines; tank , crusher and presses dating from 1904. Cost for sampling wines is normally $20 or so with opportunity to join the Wine Club. We sampled 6 to 8 wines: white zinfandels, sauvignon cabs and a nice Barbera red wine (sampling is done with 2 similar wines at a time -say 2 cabs or 2 zinfindels to ascertain the differences and lock in on preferences. Highly recommended. Jasmine was very pleasant and gave us quite a history of Sebastiani and wines in general. Woodcarvings carved by the amazing Earle Brown, 17 year period with over 300 carvings, are evident around the interior as well.

Very nice staff, good wine. We were last minute visitors on New Year's Eve day. They were getting ready to close and begin inventory, but accommodated us anyway. They gave us tickets for two free tastings at a later date and gave us free reign to try wine that they still had in stock. We were at the end of a busy week/weekend run and they had run out of some wine, but still had plenty of others. The young lady that waited on us was so nice, no pressure, no rush, even though she had a lot of work ahead of her that afternoon and was probably wanting to get out of there and enjoy New Year's Eve. We will definitely be back!
