Review of Spring Lake Park

Spring Lake Park

We visited the children's play area and found it clean, well-attended with other families, and with interesting infrastructure. Walk up the hill a bit and you can visit the resident calf, goat, and pig all attended to by young teenagers.
Parking is no problem if you get there early enough. The park is amazing in that it offers virtually everything including boating, swimming, walking trails, tennis, picnicking areas with barbecue pits, etc. This is a jewel in Santa Rosa!

Nice leisurely stroll. I haven't been on the lake as it is quite small and not worth taking the kayaks out on it.

So beautiful. Great place for family or alone time without electronics!! We use to walk around the lake, now we are content to walk. Great place to walk your dog-please remember to "scoop"!!

I can't remember any year that I haven't been to Springlake for many possible reasons. From ponies, to trains, carousels, play structures, BBQ pits, boats and hiking trails all in one huge park this is the one. I doubt you run into anyone and ask for direction they wouldn't be able to tell you. Nature in all its beauty is what it is.

If you are looking for a place to unwind, this is it. The lake is really beautiful and there are plenty of places to have a picnic or just sit on a bench. The walk around the lake is about an hour on average. The restaurant wasn't open when I was there but I understand it will be soon (and may be now). Restrooms are available and separate from the lake there is a swimming lagoon that is chlorinated but you get to share it with all the Canada Geese so....fair warning. Lots of bouncy equipment in the lagoon and kids who were swimming and bouncing when I visited seemed to be very, very happy. They charge for parking but it's a modest $7 a carload.
