Left the teens behind at the travel trailer and decided to check out the Santa Monica Pier.
First challenge was maneuvering my knee scooter down the ramp and then onto the pier made of boards. Nope, it didn’t occur to me that the pier would be a boardwalk and I know better! So, the use of a knee scooter was a major challenge because of the knots and gaps in the wood boards but I managed to make it to the end.
Several street performers were available to listen to while each one sang or played their music. One guy would artistically write whatever name you wanted and create a large name card. Several overpriced gift shops, rides, and other stuff. The most fascinating thing to me was the colorful Ferris wheel and all its LED lighting and ever changing designs.
We visited after 8pm but there were still a lot of people there. This pier would be a great place to visit if you wanted to chill out and people watch and listen to the performers.
Gotta visit at least once! Next time we’ll come by during the day when it’s light out. And when my sprained ankle is fully healed!
