I’ve been coming here probably once every couple weeks for the last 10 years...and Tex, Claire and Company produce the finest breakfast anywhere...period. This place is cozy, quaint and the coffee is awesome. You can’t go wrong with any of the daily specials on the board, especially the ever changing sausage scrambles. Do yourself a favor when it comes to breakfast in Santa Cruz County...just come here...it’s the best.

Always a good meal, friendly service and good value. A SantaCruz favorite. It’s a busy place, so sonetime’s there’s a wait, but it’s worth it!

The style and presentation are there. The food is good and fresh. The outdoor coffee is a great touch (though $2/cup is steep for coffee while you wait). The missing ingredient is a lot of taste. There is definitely some there, but there is a risk of blandness. We had a combination of pancakes, omelets, tofu scramble, and more pancakes. The tofu scramble was surprisingly the best in the pack (not easy making a good tofu scramble). But it seems like once the breakfast art was mastered, Linda may have taken a breather. Going back to the drawing board could include things like whipped butter for pancakes, more finely chopped onions in omelet, over-easy eggs that are not too firm, and some other stuff. Anyway, we would go back and recommend it despite the nitpicking.

I've been a regular at 3 restaurants owned by Linda. She has the Midas touch when it comes to breakfast. Her wait staff have worked together for years and they deliver service as though they love their work. They do. Bring something to read while your waiting for a table, it's worth the wait.

Great local spot. It is always busy so they have a coffee station outside with mugs for you to get a coffee while you wait. What a nice touch and makes the wait manageable. Once you get inside the options are varied enough to make everyone in the party happy. After ordering the food was flying out to us in no time. Our table had a lemon raspberry panacke, omelettes, poached eggs. Everyone was happy with their plate and service was fast and friendly. no wonder there is always a line. Its worth the wait. enjoy
