Description: Established in 1985, The Palace Grill is a Santa Barbara landmark restaurant featuring authentic New Orleans-inspired cuisine and a fun, lively atmosphere. Winner of The Santa Barbara's Independent Reader's Poll for "Best Restaurant Service". Located in Santa Barbara's charming Old Town district, The Palace Grill has something for everyone. Our menu features a wide range of contemporary American Grill items with a focus on authentic Southern and Louisiana specialties such as Jambalaya, Crawfish Etouffee, New Orleans Bar-B-Que Shrimp, Blackened Filet Mignon, and delicious daily "Menu Additions". In addition we have a number of exciting Caribbean dishes and a line of Creole-Italian pastas. To insure that we remain authentic, the Palace routinely flies its staff to New Orleans to experience first-hand the magical quality of the city that has inspired the spirit of the Palace Grill. The Palace has been featured in dozens of national publications including Gourmet(R) Magazine, Bon Appetit(R) and USA TODAY(R). Throughout the years, The Palace has also been a favorite of culinary legends (including chef Julia Child and chef Wolfgang Puck) and has served its cuisine to countless global dignitaries - including 5 U. S. Presidents. At the Palace Grill, everyone shares one goal: to give our guests the most extraordinary dining experience possible: every time they visit. Besides our wonderful cuisine, The Palace is known for it's unique style of "Team Service" (which the Nation's Restaurant News called "an idea whose time has come") and our nostalgic nightly staff and guest Sing-A-Long to Louis Armstrong's iconic song - "What A Wonderful World." Come join the celebration known as "The Palace Grill Experience."

We went there on a friend's advice, and, at first glance, thought he had made a mistake. He's kinda of a fancy guy and this is not a fancy place. This is an Cajun place hiding in Santa Barbara with the best, most unusual, martinis you have ever had. We got a seafood platter that was incredible and way too much food for two. The martinis were spicy and strong. You won't need more than one or maybe two at the most. We took Uber just in case. This place is a "don't miss" if you like Cajun food, or if you're from the South and you're homesick.

This place is great. The Cajun-style food is always delicious. The setting is great, fun artwork and Cajun theme. They sing "What a Wonderful World" during dinner every night. The food is pricey, but worth it. Go for a special occasion or your last night in town.

My husband and I had dinner at the Palace on Thursday evening...my birthday. We always enjoy this Santa Barbara favorite with its fun, upbeat vibe and delicious Cajun and Créole specialties. Nothing has changed much over the years, thankfully. The food is always tasty and the service is excellent. If you tell them it's a birthday, they'll decorate the dessert plate with a greeting for the celebrant.

Expensive food but well worth the price! Food was tasty, timely, and cooked perfectly! Service was great even with our party of 8, and the meal started out with a basket of 5 different types of muffins, from sweet to savory. Highly recommend

Our hotel recommended this place. We loved it. We had the platter which we've never tasted food like this before and loved every mouthful. The waitress was so lovely and accommodating. Mike was singing and playing outside and was great fun. Loved the atmosphere and food
