The bike path runs along the coast and is thus very flat. It is cool in temperature due to the proximity to the water, and offers much to see. Easy biking, but crowded around the wharf due to many others walking/biking. It goes for miles!

We hired bikes form our Hotel and set off south and had a very relaxing and interesting ride to Montecito where we spent some time on the lovely beach.Had intended to ride to Carpinteria but once you get passed Montecito and start to cycle the other side of the freeway the ride gets a bit more tedious and less interesting so we headed back.

I love this path, its so beautiful to take in the beach, the people watching, etc. You can ride pretty far either direction, stop for a bit or beverage a long the way, ride out on the warf. Absolute plus to living here in the gorgeous town!

I road from the Visitor's Center to Andree Clark Bird Refuge along the ocean and then across the street along the green space and the pond at the Refuge. The path has walkers and runners, so on a wknd in the summer it can get a little busy, but well worth the beautiful ride.

Definitely grab a couple of beach cruisers and take a ride. Stop off at Sambo's for breakfast of Breakwater at the harbor. Super easy and FUN!!!

We rented bikes at Samta Barbara Bike To Go. From there we biked south bound first then turn back and bike north bound. South bound goes into residential neighborhood plus Four Season. Not rtf bound goes into Stern Wharf. I enjoyed both ends of the bike path. However if you do not have great endurance to bike 3-4 miles and must pick one end, then I suggest you go to the north end of the trail. It's lined with tall palm trees on one side, and ocean and beach on the other side. This will be what one would stereotypically imagine a biking experience in Santa Barbara would be. Overall our party of 10 enjoyed the biking path. Just remember to bring plenty of water and some snacks with you because there is no store along the way to buy drinks. And you will feel thirsty soon under California sun.

Excellent ride along the seafront either by turning left and go all the way to Montecito or turn right and go all the way to Rincon Beech.

A lovely ride along the front at Santa Barbara - nice and wide with lovely views. Not too busy either.

This really gave us a great feel for the Californian Coast line and we loved how it went from the Harbour all the way passed the beach, onwards towards the more residential area of Santa Barbara. A very flat, peacefiul and beautiful ride.

Rented a tandem and rode the bike trail from west end beach past the zoo. It was a great way to see the area.
