This place is just awesome. It is half a block from the beach, and an easy walk to Stefan’s Wharf and the breakwater, but so are a dozen other hotels here. They differentiate themselves by being super nice. Everyone there was really friendly and helpful. The room was not huge, but it was comfortable. The bathroom was great tho, with a huge shower with two shower heads (regular and rain shower), and both were plenty high for me (6’02”). And they have an assortment of bikes you can check out for free. They have beach cruisers in assorted sizes, and even a side by side bicycle for two (or two and a half). A morning ride on the beach boardwalk was a great start to the day.
Downsides: breakfast was not much (a few cereals, instant oatmeal, assorted breads and bagels that tasted like Costco bulk purchases), but then again you aren’t staying here for the breakfast (check out the Breakwater Cafe for a good nearby breakfast). We also found the walls were a bit thin. We could hear TVs from the neighbors. Not bad, and all of the guests were mature respectful people, but still just know. Oh yeah, and no pool or hot tub. But dogs are allowed (read their guidelines).
Still, the reasonable price, super friendly staff, bikes, and the shower experience, make this 5 stars and I would gladly return.More
