“Birthday Trip”

I treated myself to a short stay in Santa Barbara on my way to Palm Desert. Stayed at The Eagle Inn (deluxe queen with veranda). It was very nice. Veranda very large with umbrella table, four chairs and two lounge chairs. Nice views of "typical" Santa Barbara scenery. Inn is about 3 blks. from the ocean and several restaurants, all within walking distance. There is onsite parking (free!), breakfast included (one hot entree) and you can have use of bicycles. Staff very helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

I must say that any time I ever go back to Santa Barbara I would stay at the Eagle Inn. Nice rooms, great price and nice people. The rooms were exactly like the pictures, which doesn't happen very often. Breakfast was amazing as well. A definite must stay!

We were hoping to get a more economical choice close to the beach in Santa Barbara for our vacation, at first we thought The Eagle Inn was just a good value. Hoping it was not run down or dirty, we booked the room anyway. Imagine our surprise to find a beautiful hotel, small enough to give us privacy and quiet, but well cared-for. The room was very comfortable, the dual shower was a nice touch, and being two blocks from the beach made it a perfect stay for us! Breakfast was simple but elegant, and the room was extremely clean. Our first - our ONLY choice - for staying in Santa Barbara will be The Eagle Inn!

My wife and I stayed there for one night of our honeymoon. We booked a jacuzzi/fireplace suite with balcony view which came out to something over US$200. Breakfast was homemade quality and enjoyable. Bikes are rentable, although their old and you may want to pay a bit more down the road for a decent set of wheels. Staff friendly and helpful. In the end, no specific frills but a clean, well-run place 2 blocks from the beach and seemingly well worth the money.

We came to stay at the Eagle Inn as a result of their generous donation to a fundraiser we were at and we were delighted to find such a gem! We stayed in one of the cottages, and it was perfectly appointed with a really comfortable bed and nice linens. The layout of the property feels more European and the cottages are tucked away at the back of the property. And even though you are in a relatively high density area, it still felt secluded. We will definately be back again!
